Meet the Founders
Emily Lewis
Emily has been sketching jewelry designs in the margins of notebooks for as long as she can remember. More recently, she remade pieces from her grandmother's collection and loved how the process made her feel connected to something bigger— family, history, memory. That love led her to earn her Graduate Diamonds Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America in 2025. Through her education, she developed a deep respect for craftsmanship, quality materials, and unique design. Her style is rooted in the past but made for today, often inspired by the romantic details of the Victorian era.
Emily lives in Houston with her husband and two kids, where days are full of sports and school events. She plays tennis as often as possible (the bracelets are a bonus!) and also loves a good game of mahjong, traveling with her family, and, of course, shopping.
Emily believes designing jewelry is just telling a story— one that’s personal, beautiful, and made to last.
Jayme Smith
Jayme's journey into fine jewelry design began with a love for Oushak rugs, whose intricate patterns and rich past sparked an appreciation for artistry with a story. As the owner of a rug store, Jayme traveled to Turkey, where she discovered the ancient traditions of jewelry making and fell in love with its craftsmanship and symbolism. That trip became a turning point, inspiring the vision behind Emilia James.
Her design style blends eclectic Eastern European influences with timeless elegance. Each piece is inspired by a real experience, place, or person, and she helps customers create jewelry that feels just as personal and meaningful.
Jayme has a keen eye for quality and detail, which elevates every Emilia James piece and sets the collection apart.
Jayme lives in Houston with her husband and 3 boys. When she’s not designing, she enjoys painting, traveling, and antiquing with her mom— always gathering inspiration for the next story to tell.
